Our Vision
We started to facilitate and create markets where there is low accessibility to market, where designs can meet modern techniques, where a community that is driven by art and culture is able to scale and where an organised value chain is initiated to continue the community Indigenous way of life called ‘ collectivism’.
Our Mission
At Shonkti (Imprints of Yore) we conceptualised with an objective to create better and bigger markets for our Indigenous crafts, potteries, jewelleries, looms and many more of our existing indigenous knowhow. At Shonkti, we merge knowledge of Indigenous communities with community life of collectivism, storytelling and many a slow food to enjoy with laughters and mirth in the atmosphere.
In many ways we subscribe to the philosophy of the “Slow Movement”. We strive to use local, hand- made products, sourcing from local environments with whispers of the earth beneath us. Shonkti is also committed to serving you with products that speaks of the identity of the producers who matters.
